A Note From Vern:

What a difference 30 days can make in the everyday lives of a whole nation - and world.  With the rapid spread and apparent ease of transmission of this new disease, we made the decision to cancel formally getting together for events and worship.  The recommendations for this have  come from our national and state leaders.  Scripture teaches that we are to be obedient to the requests of those in position of authority.  That, along with the practicality of attempting to limit the infection of more people, especially those more at risk, determined that we should make this move.  Regretfully, this is a decision that we thought must be made in this way.

The urgency of keeping in contact/communication with each other as a church family is an issue that we are in the process of figuring out.  We are in communication with surrounding pastors Joshua and Matt along with our, soon to be here, interim pastor Dan.  Becoming comfortable with people living separately from the church family is something we want to avoid. The question of “where to from here?” is a work in progress.  Thankfully we have communication tools such email, church website and Facebook to minister through. Some or all of these tools will be employed as we move ahead.

We ask that you pray for our leaders as they must make many decisions.  That they would seek the Lord as they fulfill their responsibilities.  Also, pray for the church family as we learn to live in a different (hopefully short term) way.
